Representation of clients in matters pertaining to the assessment and taxation of real property in Cook County, with some experience gained in surrounding counties. Emphasis primarily on litigation of assessment appeals and tax delinquency matters. This position required extensive knowledge of valuation technique, assessment policy, trial experience and caseload management ability.

Valuation Consulting Group. Consulting work, negotiation, and appeal of property tax assessments in a number of states across the country, including Illinois. Position required knowledge of valuation technique and familiarity with assessment laws and procedures in many jurisdictions.

Assistant State’s Attorney, Real Estate Tax Division – November 1983 November 1986. Representation of county officials in matters pertaining to assessment and collection of real estate taxes. Extensive litigation experience was obtained involving assessment issues and the roles and duties of government under the Illinois Revenue Act.
Assistant State’s Attorney, Child Support Enforcement Division – January 1982 – November 1983. Representation of Aid and Non-Aid cases for Child Support in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Assisted in the management of the Division as Assistant to the Director. In addition to litigation responsibilities assisted the Director through legislative drafting and representation of the Division at coordinating meetings with the Clerk of the Circuit Court and Illinois Department of Public Aid
